This one’s a quick one…
We got a call from a client recently who was running into an error when attempting to delete a site from their SharePoint Online environment. The error message referenced “Sites that have subsites or certain apps can’t be deleted. Please try again after deleting all subsites and removing the apps” (see screenshot below).

This particular site didn’t have any subsites, so we were quickly able to rule that out as our culprit. That lead us to take a closer look at the apps enabled on the site.
We keyed in on the Nintex Workflow app which was enabled on the site, and after deleting the Nintex Workflow app, we were successfully able to delete the site.
Easy peasy!!!
Shout out to Senior Project Manager, Rich Kumpitsch, for sharing this quick and easy resolution to a pesky problem 🙂

Good finding, actually any App still “installed” on a site would forbid the site to be deleted.
